One thing I use "Thanks" for is checking out members that have been here less than 3mos. or so. If a newer member posts links and stats say they've posted 100 but only been thanked a few times I usually look for another source. It doesn't really prove anything but it's one more thing to help spot and avoid some of the fakers that show up at times. Glad to see it's still there where appropriate. Thanks TP

Nice addition to the discussion forum. I was not expecting to see this when I woke up this morning. |

Though for now the notifcation thing is smart & helpful, so that even the most unaware become aware that you can review on which posts you were liked on. |

Which will be helpful as its been a bit dull and anaemic in discussions for a while Big thumbs up |

As I've said before I really like the LIKE feature! Thanks again. What would be really nice is a DISLIKE feature. I realize this may not be feasible but it sure would come in handy when disagreeing with discussions or encountering those wonderful blatant sexist comments. Ya know - those posts that don't warrant the energy to actually post but deserve a response. Ahh... to dream... |

A Dislike button rainbow?? That would be living the dream!! Haha But I think we would break it thru overuse in off-topic don't you? |

Some abuse or use it excessively while others not at all. It would just be sooooo nice to have the option to express "dislike"!

The Like button is definitely a plus!!! There are posts I might enjoy but just can't think of anything as a reply. I might even end up retiring the: <-- Consider it clicked!![]() As for a Dislike button, I think the only abuse that could be done {assuming a person can only Like or Dislike once per post} is if someone doesn't like a particular member so much that he/she Dislikes every post of theirs. And something like that would be easy to spot eventually. Then everyone can mass attack that person's posts with Dislikes until they get the hint to knock it off. Here's another thought {with the use of a Dislike button}, though it might take a bit more to implement than would be reasonable. Maybe a subsection in each of the Discussion sections for the undesired posts. Say a post has a total of 100 or more Likes + Dislikes. If there are 90% or more Dislikes then the post gets automatically moved to the "Undesirable" subsection for that Discussion section. That way it's still available for those who would want to check it out or post. And if, eventually, it gets enough Likes it would move back into the mainstream. Obviously that would be only in regards to the Thread Starter post {taking the entire thread with it, of course}. Anyway, that's just an idea. Peace to you and yours, Matthew "Dra'Gon" Stohler ![]() |

yes please no dislike button. Once you start down that road of dislike, neg rep.. it just turns into an option that is constantly abused. Plus differing opinions no matter who is right or wrong should be kept to a discussion not trying to bring someones reputation down on the forum to be spiteful. the ***** star option is enough I think and if someone really dislikes a thread or post that much well they can report it if it is warranted. |
