I'm not sure exactly what you would call it but I think a useful discussion area would be one dedicated to people who are totally new to forums. For the novice forum user.

An area for members who are new to the whole sharing forum thing. A "Newbie" discussion forum. First time users often have no way of knowing the most basic stuff - how to download and utilize or even what winrar is. Some place to pool all the basic things about the different forums. An area for the basic questions that might seem dumb to those of us who have played around the forum scene a bit.

This might sound a little too much like the helpdesk, but the helpdesk forum can be a little intimidating for the Novice/Newbie. There really is no place for someone with absolutely no forum experience to ask questions or get basic info/help.

A thought just crossed my mind; Wouldn't it be great to have something on TPX like Torrent-Invites' BitTorrent News section. Which is also a sub forum devoted for news related to digital media, internet, filesharing, and politics & corporations around those 3 topics. (Though I don't know an accurate umbrella wording for such a sub forum that describes this category of news)

Such a sub forum would be convenient because sometimes certain topics are borderline of what they discuss in the sense if the particular thread belongs more in the Computer & Technologies, or rather in the Off-Topic.

And I think a sub forum for this category of news wouldn't be wasted either, as these topics always garner alot of attention, which is increasing as more people are waking up, and the copyright industry and its opponents become more aggressive.

Of course this is not a demand, just a desire! :)

I appreciate all input but no.. just no on this. No way there will be enough interest to make this feasible. I have nothing against this but I just don't want to see the forum watered down with forums that garner little to no traffic.

Unless TP wants to do a test phase and see how it goes then decide. Plus you are asking mods to moderate that many more forums and with all the traffic we already have they have their work cut out for them as is.

Nice re-arrangement TPX. It's much more specific and organised than before. And welcome you Helpdesk. You've been far too long at the bottom! ^_^

Glad to hear.

Also thanks to everyone who participated in this thread thus far. I decided to take a few suggestions and applied them right away. Others will have to be given more thoughts.

A sports and world news channel
Also a donation bar on the: http://tehparadox.com/ page as well. It's the main navigation page for me and I'm sure for many others as well, so why not ask for donations there?

Yes a sports section.. Though I am not sure how many sports buffs we have have here.. The euro cup thread had a lot of views and replies.. one of the most replied thread in off-topics I think..
Olympics might also attract a lot of people.. fingers crossed for a sports section!!..

Not sure if this is any good or not, but it's something I thought for a long time. The Movie Theater forum isn't really doing what 'I' thought it was intended for. Maybe a sub forum in there for everyone's upload indexes - freeing up the forum for actual discussions on all things movie & tv.

When I was moderator in there I wanted to put them all in one thread to clean it up in there without a sub forum. But it wouldn't have worked so didn't bother.

Just a thought. :)

A 3d only section would be gratefully received!

Also we don't seem to do sport "filmed" here.

Having a section for various sports videos/ recordings would be a great addition to your already growing offerings.

For instance I struggle to find golf torrents/ downloads.

I don't have anything new other than what have been said above. I'd love to see:
1. Sports
World/regional/national sport events, all kinds of sports, hobby sports.
2. History discussions.
Maybe a subforum within "Literature"?
3. Culture discussions.
Cuisine, tourism spots, unique traditions, foreign languages, etc.

And maybe...
4. Soundtrack talks both for movies and video games.

I'd love to have a
5. Games subforum (not video games), maybe in the same forum as Humor. I'd like to see more games thread.

I'm not sure if each one of above will have attract many, but for sports, it's likely will become the most popular of those.
