Well done TP! I really welcome helpdesk being moved up.

Maybe, I will someday cross by the Literature sub-forum.

Looking great so far. Totally agree about the Helpdesk being up top. It just seems more people are using the Discussion sections for asking for help. Probably nothing much wrong with that but it just seems to me that is what the Helpdesk is specifically for and the Discussion sections shouldn't be used that way. But that's just me I suppose.

As for suggestions. About the only one I can come up with is for 3D modelling. Uploads/Discussion/Showing off. I'm just not sure if there would be a lot of folks here who are into that.

Anyway, thanks to the Admins/Mods for what you've all done with tehParadox. LOVE IT!!!

Peace to you and yours,
Matthew "Dra'Gon" Stohler

It can sometimes be hard to find that thing you really want when it comes to TV and movies with all the threads that good people post.
Maybe a way ease that would be to separate all the different formats released. It could be to have 1 section for Movies and 1 section for TV with the appropriate sub-forums.
E.g.,
Resources (Off-Site) >
Video > sub-forums:
Movies > sub-forums:
3D > sub-forums: (Untouched & Remuxed) (1080p-720p) (m1080p-m720p)
HD > sub-forums: (Untouched & Remuxed) (1080p-720p) (m1080p-m720p)
SD > sub-forums: (DVDr) (BDrip) (DVDrip)
TV > sub-forums:
Complete Seasons > sub-forums: (Blu-ray/Web-DL) (BD/DVDrip) (HDTV)
Episodes > sub-forums: (Blu-ray/Web-DL) (BD/DVDrip) (HDTV)
Documentaries > sub-forums: (Blu-ray/Web-DL) (BD/DVDrip) (HDTV)
Sports > sub-forums: (1080p-720p) (m1080p-m720p) (SD)
Premium > sub-forums:
Movies
TV-series
Software
Just a humble thought...

All wonderful ideas- clearly show the maturity of everyone's thought process. I was wondering if there could be a 50+ section, dedicated to baby boomers generation?

Oh, there you go. Maybe call it the "Depends" section.

I crack me up!

Sorry, it just had to be said by someone, especially after that "maturity" bit.

Peace to you and yours,

So you want a section where all the old stuff lands & gathers? Here you go!

I'm pretty sure most of older generations are already hanging out in Off-Topics.

EDIT:

This is my own idea: what about a Deals/Freebies section? Where people can share daily deals that they find on the internet. (Not to be confused with full blast advertising)

I am pretty sure of that too

I agree on the Deals/Freebies section, it might be very useful.

I feel like the TV section is big enough to be pulled out from under movies and given a spot on its own within resources. Either way, whether on its own or under movies, I would like to see TV sub-forums of complete seasons (all qualities), HDTV (to include 720p+ & web-dl) and then everything else.

I also have liked the following from what I've read so far:
  • the deal/freebies idea (but worry about serious spamming cropping up over time);
  • the 3D sections for movies (especially once I buy a 3D TV );
  • the literature discussion / audiobook resource (although they seem to now exist)
  • an oldies sub-forum in the trash section.....

tehPARADOX, this is now confusing to me. :\ Not saying it's bad, cause it's good to add sub forums and all, but I was used to scroll four times and end in the "Games" forum among other things. I guess it's a matter of time. :)

^This isn't a complaint, just an observation :)

The only thing that seems that wouldn' be intimidating would be a name like "noob questions" or something, but it doesn't sound very professional. One thing that could change was the bot message that TP sends to the new users mentions the helpdesk and to don't be afraid of asking questions, but using the search function first.

I actually think that's a good idea. :)

If possible, those deals should have tags whether available in only 1 country or more.

example:
[USA] Title blah blah

I agree with this. A sub forum for indexes would be one of the more beneficial things for this forum imo. :)
