I totally agree. That constitutes "reckless Endangerment" of a Child.
A Felony under Tennessee Law...
Quote:
Tennessee law §39-15-401 declares any person, who deliberately injures a child less than 18 years old guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. Deliberate injury to a child less than 8 years old is a Class D felony. Tennessee Law §39-15-402 defines aggravated child endangerment as endangering a child with a weapon or a controlled substance or inflicting severe bodily harm upon a child. Any heinous inexcusable act which endangers a child is a Class B felony. Aggravated abuse of a child with a physical or mental disability is a Class A felony.

Thunder Egg?

Okay, I'm gonna show my ignorance here, but so what? Nobody knows everything.

I'll bite. What the heck is a "Thunder Egg"?

I know that you little Hottie!!! That's one of the reasons that I love you and all of the other people that I call my friends here. I like people that stand up for what they believe in, right or wrong.

Stand up and be counted!!! If you do you may be wrong occasionally, but if you don't stand for something you are always wrong, IMO.

Charlie, a thunder egg is a geode. it is what the Native Americans of the area called them (this was in New Mexico). They are pretty ugly rock looking rocks, from the outside. but when cut open they have silica inside, much like an agate. What they are really, is where there was volcanic action and the flow had bubbles in it. the bubbles, when cooled were kinda holes in the now rock solid flow. over many many years water seeped through the rock and deposited minerals in the hole, and this made layers of pretty colors. depending on what was in the water at the time the colors are different. the one i found looked just like an egg (most do sort of) i used a rock saw and cut it (like most things i studied it and thought i had a good idea of which angle, if you cut against the layering you see lines, or rings of colors, if you cut with the flow you just get that color, and it is kinda milky looking) well once i got it cut and looked at it, the lines showed that there was a tilt in the area where it was forming, this is indicative of an earthquake or a slide. then it filled more. so, there are straight lines of colors, then a 48 degree slant and more lines. kind of a rare find, and then a rare chance to cut it just right to see it. it has oranges and purples and whites and a bit of red in it.

not mine, but found an example:

Since it was in New Mexico there were probably no laws! It is a deviant state! giggles, just kidding!

smiling,
Mandy

That's cool, Mandy!!!

I know what geodes are, but I have not heard them called "thunder rocks" before, or if I have, I don't remember it. I love geodes!!! I can understand why you would be exited to find one like you were talking about. It must be pretty nice to live where you can go out and find these yourself.

Thanks for the comeback.
