Default Biggest Burger in Europe

Monster burger on the menu at Walsall restaurant

Dale Keys, from Penn, Wolverhampton, with the monster burger
at Smokeys in Walsall

It contains more than three pounds of minced beef, 12 rashers of bacon, a dozen slices of cheese and 12 onion rings.
This monster burger is being served up at a new restaurant in the Black Country and bosses there believe it could be one of the biggest on offer in Europe. It is on the menu at Smokeys, which has opened in an empty building in Walsall, creating new jobs
So far, two workers have been taken on at the Station Street venue, while there are future plans to offer apprenticeships and one day make it into a chain.
The new business has been created by a partnership of four friends; Dean Keys and his brother Dale Keys, David Corr and John Cadrick were inspired by shows such as Man vs Food and trips to America.
But it is the monster burger that is proving the talking point, with no diners so far completing the challenge of eating the 12-inch burger in an hour.
Dean Keys said: “We’ve even had some people scream when they see it.”

Awww, no mention of all the calories these sensationalistic articles usually do? The author disappoints me.

Anyway, what a disgusting feat of fried up rejectamenta. If there's one thing that can put our NHSes at risk its those monstrosities. I like alot of the US, but this is one idea that shouldn't be copied from them. Same as the Heart Attack Grill, they can keep that sh*t out of Europe.

That is grim ....they are late comers to the party, there is a country pub close to where I used to live which prides itself on this type of stuff. All the dishes are named after cartoon characters like "the Barny rubble" which is a 32 oz slice of rib eye stake or "the Desperate Dan" which is a pie made in a casserole dish (about 20" diameter) stuffed with beef. If you can eat them, then they are free.

I totally agree though, its just not needed, heart attack in a bun

Cheers,

Jiff

I doubt they're expecting anyone to order this, It's just a publicity stunt.

I had the BIGGEST mcdonalds burger the other day (as in, it was the biggest on their menu)... The one with two meat patties, and well? it was the shitiest burger iv ever seen..... It was ment to be a big burger!! but it was so small that I could hold it with two fingers. (fkn kids restaurant)

the box it came in had a small picture of it, and the actual burger was about 2 to 3 times as wide as the picture but it was ALMOST the same height!!!

So pathetic. I paid 19zl for that burger, a crappy icecream shake and small fries... fkn rip off. The local fast food restaurants are waay better.
McD's burgers are pretty small in my experience, but be aware that there are multiple standard sized patties. The McDouble on the dollar menu in the US has two very small patties in it, while the more expensive burgers like the Big Mac have larger patties.
