File Sharing What Changes

With the shutting down of places all over the net including Demonoid it has me worried about the places that I use getting shut down so I wanted to broaden my horizons of places to find media. I have several different places that I go but I wanted to talk here about other options.

Not really looking for advertisements of what sites to go to just the general idea of what other options are out there.

I am primarily a Torrent guy and I have a lot of different communities that I go to, to find what I am looking for. But for the rest I use tehparadox and sites kinda like it but without the community that we have here. I will use google sometimes to find links that I am looking for.

Are there any other forms of file sharing anymore?

I have heard somethings about Newsbins or whatever they are called, does anyone here have any experience with them and are they worth the time?

Also wondering if there are any services like the old Napster, Limewire ect with the searches going through their software. Are any still out there and running?

Am I missing anything? Are there any search methods that you use that are successful and would like to share? I just want to help here I am not trying to make a big advertisement of certain sites, I just want to discuss File Sharing in General. If there are any sites that you would like to share with me please private message them to me. No need to upset Mods.

Are there any new methods of file sharing that you have heard about that are on the horizon?

Throughout time places have been getting shut down or have simply closed due to rising server costs.

Given the sheer number of places out there its actually not so bad if you crunch the numbers.

Thats like saying the sheer number of people who die from the common cold is rather high. But considering the population of the planet, the numbers don't look bad.

Grain of salt is the term I am looking for.

Also people tend to panic when its THEIR site that gets hit.

The only new one I can think of is cloud sharing, and I'm not really familiar with it myself.

I tend to agree with you that it's not a huge deal and at least I'm better off than some Demonoid users. I have my hands in a bunch of different pots. I just want to establish myself more so I have more resourses to search and find what I am looking for..

Using tehparadox and simular is definatly the way to go looking for tutorial and workshop classes. Anywhere else that you know of is a good resource?

good resources for what? I have one or two sites for movies and tutorials. I think it's against the rules to post them.

Edit: you can forget about psp software like limewire. I learned a long time ago that they're filled with nothing but viruses. You could take a look at Usenet. Outside of cloud storage(which already existed before the name) it's only other way to share. Wait! There's also FTP.

Kinda figured psp limewire was dead but thought I would ask. Is usenet even worth it, I have heard they are great and I have heard they are lackluster I just haven't been able to figure them out. I'm going to research the cloud sharing, and what kind of FTP? Have only ever used FTP for uploading websites.

I am looking for Tutorials and Documentary type places a lot cause they are harder to find at times.. I can find movies EVERYWHERE on the net so I am not worried about movies and new TV shows. I do worry about older TV shows and series.
