Yeah...but those things (the acid at least) leave traces on the stuff you used....bathube for example, the dumping could be spoted by someone, etc...and it's just too messy.....here people do fires every now and then...so one more wouldn't make any suspicious. It would take its time...but it would get the job done.

There wont be no remains at all to be analyzed, it is also assuming that the killing is not "known", no one is looking for him.
A fire has always to be investigated, they would notice that it was set and would if you are unlucky and a single bone remainds for some reason... but yeah if you do have the proper stuff to make a fire burn hot enough for the bones, its good.
