Perhaps 'prostitute' was not his/her search keyword? If you read at the OP, there could be some words to be chosen as keywords...Perhaps there are orang utan among us tehParadoxians? 'orang utan' literally means 'jungle/forest man' anyway.

Look at his nick, that could be a clue to what he was searching for... Lotto Millions looking for a way to pick winning lottery numbers perhaps? Just a wild guess though, and the coincidence probably means absolutely nothing... :) |

:) Good to know. If it's okay...what's the stereotype? Is it really bad?

I don't fit those, and I don't want to. The real bottom line to them, is that I fit into the Adana culture as if I was born into it. So, as far as they're concerned I'm one of them. And, the way the name is spelled is the second part of the joke. In Turkish, adding LI to the end of a city name means someone from that city. So, someone from Ankara would be called Ankarali, and when talking about themselves would say Ankaraliyim (I'm from Ankara). But, people from Adana do that differently as well, and they are the only one's in the country to do it. They don't say "Adanaliyim" which is the proper way, they say "Adanaliyik". Therefore, if someone says "Adanaliyim", they are lying, so I use the right one "Adanaliyik" which proves I really am from Adana now (and yes, I speak Turkish almost fluently)... Sorry if this got a little confusing, but I hope you could follow it... :) |

For example, Turks in general don't eat a lot of meat, but people in Adana eat meat constantly. So, since I eat meat at every meal, I'm like a typical person from Adana. Also, men from Adana are completely preoccupied with sex, more than other Turks. And, they are more laid back than in other parts of the country. And I meet all those criteria. But, there are some bad stereotypes too. Like being extremely macho, and treating women like dirt. I don't fit those, and I don't want to. It would actually be Instanbul'lu, with a u. It's a weird rule called vowel harmony, and it took me a while to learn because it isn't straight forward. But, I like your version better... :) |
