Come on Alexi!!! We all know he knows what he's doing!! It's just a matter of opinion how "offended" people should be.It's not that big a deal really .... If it wasn't for the Internet who would know or care?

I know for a fact he's a racist too for two reasons

1 He's Indian..... They are ALL racist!
2 He's got an Alf Garnett T-shirt on!!!

I think it's Gandhi, but same difference.
Gandhi was a massive racist too.

(I'm guessing you know who the T-shirt picture is of, but I'm not sure if anyone [else] would get the Alf Garnett reference)

Yes, you are correct. It dates back as early as 10,000 B.C....but that's not the problem. A lot of countries have used the symbol also, not just India, and has a different meaning respectively...but that's also not the problem.

The problem, my friend, is the combination of the name and the symbol as a whole. That, in itself, is a symbol. A correlation that a lot of people would like to forget.

I've met quite a few of Indians and yes they do use the original symbol all over Asia. My friend walks around with a swastika on key chain, he's Sikh. I know a considerable amount of Indians that are pissed as hell at Hitler for what he did to their symbol. If his clothing store was not based off outside influences, I could believe he might not know. This guy knew.

Its kind of ironic that I stumbled onto this post today of all days... exactly one year ago today my dad passed away which is sad in itself. Both he and my mother (who passed 9 years earlier) were Holocaust survivors.

I mention this because I've grown up all my life with ppl who are either too ignorant, bigoted or stupid to understand the meaning of what took place more than 70 years ago. I can't cry about the grand parents and relatives I never knew but I do feel sorry for ppl who refuse to learn or have enough empathy to understand what actually took place.

As I see it the biggest issues that still remain are a lack of tolerance, an unwillingness to understand history and the inability for ppl to keep from reverting to their baser instincts. Or as George Santayana said ""those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

The internet is a funny place where some ppl feel cloaked by anonymity and say hateful things they might not normally say in order to get a rise out of someone. To those individuals all I can say is be careful what you say and do because sooner or later the universe will seek its own revenge and because karma can be a real bitch...

Grandpa, why do they call you Hitler?

"It is because I hate those *amn Jews and think they all should be sent to the gas chamber!"

But Gramps, aren't they people too?

"No you little 8astard, they are rodents, scum of the earth and need to be eradicated from the population!"

Gee Grandpa, I think I'll name a store in your honor! I love you Grandpa!

(Maybe that is how the conversation went?)

You really are a completely ignorant and insensitive simpleton, aren't you?
And not the first time on this forum you're so very eager to show it.

Oh, yes and...
