How to get more people to download my stuff?

Hello im new here and it seems i post things but they never get downloaded or anything. i have used other sites as well but no downloads. my links get plenty of views but no downloads? i wonder why that is? i post good stuff.

Maybe your new and nobody knows who you are, yet. My best advice is time. As long as you get recognized that you are a trusted uploader, word will spread about your stuff. Of course then you have a long way to deal with heavyweights like cardman. Cheers and good luck!

you posted like 4 things. If you want people to download your stuff, you have to stay relevant. Obviously movies and TV shows get more hits than anything else. No name games probably wont get any dls. You have to appeal to the consumer trend, and like someone else said, make a name for yourself by uploading quality. It also doesnt hurt to donate too.

Maybe what you're posting isn't unique enough. Find some unusual out-of-print and desirable DVD or CD at a thrift store, make a lossless copy and scan the artwork at 600 dpi. Scan a rare book or comic and make a pdf. Join some exclusive torrent site and reshare stuff. Convert rare VHS/Beta/Laserdisc movies or TV to digital.

Maybe you need to find a forum or category that's more specific. There's so much stuff posted here that it's easy to miss new stuff, and the search function is frustrating and slow. Avaxhome, on the other hand, has many more categories and keywords for things, so it's easier to browse Japanese movies or new wave music or whatever. And you don't have to twiddle your thumbs for half a minute between search attempts.

The problem here is people who post, that have a low post count are not trusted. Usually they spam and post fakes before they get banned. Once your established as a trustworthy poster, people will trust you, and download your files.

You could try posting in the other sections to get your post count up before you embark on posting files, movies, music etc. Its a bit less work that way to up your poster count.

You could scour the requests section and upload things that people are actually looking for. That would build trust, raise your post count and almost insure at least one download.

Post on more sites/sources.
Probably not a popular answer, but an honest one.
If you're primary motivation for posting is 'hits', you need to get out and spread it around.

A first day uploader don't get any bites from me.
You have to gain my trust.
Once you've been around awhile and have a decent post count then I may think about it.
But if you have uploaded the same thing as cardman, sorry but cardman is well respected and always has quality posts with plenty of mirrors.
He will get preference over you.
It's a tough act to follow but hey! It's the truth.
