I want to live forever because I'm very curious of what will happen in the future. Wondering when will be the end of humanity, the end of this planet?

What about 21 Dec 2012, the day the world would end (according to Mayan predictions) as we know it? We have less than 3 years to live. :)

The Mayan calender doesn't necessarily point to the end of the world, but the end of a cycle. Terrence McKenna did a time line based on the I-Ching (not sure on spelling) and the Mayan calendar, and can't put a time frame beyond 2012, so we need to wait and see.

Mayan is B*ll***t If we leave something down to what people has predicted and written thousands of years ago, what are we rather than a mindless naive puppet. I dont sell myself to atrology and stuff but if it happens it happens Last edited by jeffbuckley_kakui; 05-14-09 at 06:05 PM.

The Mayans had Astronomical knowledge thousands of years ago, which still exceeds our knowledge today, even with our supposed advanced technology. If you search for the truth of 2012, it is both very interesting, and scary at the same time. I have put thousands of hours of research into everything 2012 in the last 3 years, and my eyes have truly been opened.

You have just discussed the Bible, and everyone who believes in religion. That being said, I have my upmost respect for every religion/ practice down here, I do not mean the slightest offense, more on just an individual perception.

I didn't believe the Mayan nonsense at first. But most if not all top 'visionaries' are 100% sure about it. Check out Coast to Coast AM archives. How embarrassing it must be.. if nothing happens on that day.

You are correct about religion, I think it comes down to both having faith and needing to believe in something. As for your comments, I don't consider anyone could, or would construe them as an attack on religions. Live and let live I say. I choose the individual over their colour. faith, or any other aspect of them, and that's why I have friends of all colours, races and creeds. I never criticize an individual for the circumstances of their lives or existence. Treat others with respect, and they will usually treat you the same way. There are some exceptions.

For me it doesn't really matter much how long I have/or wish to live, but more towards how i spend the remaining years of my life.... QualOL vs QuanOL, Quality of Life trumps it all....

I would like to live until I could no longer control my rational state of mind. I hear people say that they would like to live as long as possible, but after your mind goes what the **** is the point? I can understand wanting to live a long life, but if you aren't able to enjoy it what is the point?

I want to live 'till January 1st, 2100, atleast. I think it'd be amazing to see all the changes in our world through out from the late 1900's to the early 2100's.
