Default It's here: Apple unveils iPhone 5

San Francisco (CNN) -- Apple on Wednesday announced the latest version of the iPhone.

The iPhone 5 looks similar to previous models but has a larger screen and is lighter and thinner than the iPhone 4S. The company says the larger screen will make it easier to check and send e-mails and to view Web pages with the phone in your hand.

The phone also comes with a new, faster processor called the Apple A6, which connects to mobile carriers with a 4G LTE connection, making for speedier Internet browsing.

"It just screams," said Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller, in introducing the device.

It's here, the iPhone 6. We only added trivial improvements to the previous version. But it has a new number. SO BUY IT!

The Ip!ss 5 will start at $699 with the highest model being $999 in Aus. We get ripped off!

Then, I pay $2.00 for 2 minutes with my mobile contract, plus $0.39 connection fee.
Mobile phones are nothing more than a license to print money in Australia with too little competition to drive prices down.

Same as the PS3 when it eventually made it to our shores, $999 when the US were paying $599 or less for the same thing (different supply voltage and region though).

I love reading or watching all those lemmings. It gets even more exciting to watch mini riots. Or the shoving, name calling, cutting in line. You will never catch me in any line to be first for an electronic new toy.

I prefer to sit at home in my civies ordering it on-line. If I must I will go to a mall. But I will not be caught dead in a huge line.

My days of I must have it, I must be first on my block to own this gadget are over. With age (hopefully) comes wisdom and patience.

Let the lemmings brag about their new found toy. When they die, we will know that they cannot take it with them. There are way more importend things in life.

1. A cup of herbal tea.
2. Flying a kite.
3. Snuggling up to a loved one.

I could go on and on. These are the things you cannot buy. We are witnessing the Me generation and it is sad.

I tried to like your post cazmajor but for some reason the like did not show. Sorry.. Love Futurama. Wow it finally showed. Never seen the unlike button before. Thanx for liking me cazymajor.

Ouch, ya you are getting shafted. And don't get me started on the PS3. What a piece of junk. Friend of mine had one. In 1 year I replaced 3 lasers on it at $70-$85 a pop. Then 2 months later he got the yellow light of death. And that my friend is a pain in the rear to fix. Every time I took that thing apart I would be reminded of how bad the design was. No air flow. They could have made it %25 larger and had some room for decent airflow. Very sad. He even had one of those external fans, that looks like it is part of the PS3 and that didn't help.

Junk. I prefer a nice PC case and my own stuff. Then Sony had the audacity to want $150 for shipping and repair for the laser. Lol.
