You're right. Although you jokingly said that that's how time works, this attentions gathered about Joseph Kony & the LRA, to some extent owe to this Kony 2012 campaign publications. I kinda agree with you that it's a bit funny. Kony and LRA is not news anymore.

Although I also agree that Kony 2012 campaign seems to be dubious and ineffective, a campaign that could draw the attention of the world is needed, that it could help people from Uganda.

Hideous and hypocrite is what this is, africa has hundreds of warlords, blood diamonds still exist and senseless war is still all around, and people worry about a guy who isnt in operation at all anymore from what you can read (even if he is, what about all the others?)

Glad to see some healthy discussion here. The comment section on Youtube seem to be filled by misconceptions, trolls, or people that simply misunderstood the message. The thing is whatever US or other countries military presence might be in Uganda, it will be as an advisory roll and it will be a small presence, it said so on the video. So please, for the love of God, more love and actions like this and less hate.

Yeah i dont think it has anything to do with the lolvideo of obama.
(besides people change their minds as they grow, i sure as hell am different from what i was 6 years ago and should never be held responsible for the ideas/thoughts i HAD)

On the other hand, its undeniable that it is interesting how there are plenty of other warlords doing worst, and only this one gets attention, right after (6 months) major oil reserves being found in Uganda.

Its like a comic i read a few days ago:

I found oil... RUN AMERICA IS GOING TO SAVE US
