For me Megaupload is better, I find Rapidshare annoying, It doesnīt even state the upload limit, and It doesnīt necesarily mean itīs unlimited

For all of my above friends no one seems to notice that recently RS announced they are putting restrictions on speed for free users.(go to their news section). And it is true. Now a free user will get half downloading speed . Secondly, as a free user i find MU the best option. It is faster than rs. And lastly, for all those who r complaining about MU download restriction, as free user per day , they should know that the problem can easily be resolved by changing IP.

I guess most views have already been put forward however I think the preference may depend on where you live, MU/RS speed differentials are often reported according to geography. My experiences relate to South East England.

I have premium accounts with both. From my very limited upload experience RS is faster but for downloading MU, for me at least, wins by a mile. I often see 750+ mb/s, usually 25% better than RS.

MU Mega Manager really clinches it, I have more than once put in links in excess of the RS 25 GB limit and had had them all download in a single session without problem (albeit a long session!)

I have needed to contact both with premium membership queries and have found both reasonably quick (24 - 36 hours) and informative with their replies.

I have never once gotten a reply from MU

I have always used their "through the website" support section
to send my "Support Tickets"

what is your secret to getting a reply from MU?

I prefer Megaupload, Rapidshare has killed my stuff to often, but if Megaupload did that I would change my mind. I get the same download speeds from both.

as a premium user, I CAN upload files up to 2GB's in size
10 times larger than a FREE user can download

that this why MU is better you don't have to wait if you pass 25gb and the megamanager is way better than the one from rapidshare.

For downloading I always seem to get better speeds with MU, but RS tends to be better for uploads.

Free users (as well as premium users) should be using jDownloader to download from both
RS & MU
