I would say MU but RS does have more content. But, I do appreciate a 15min break on RS compared to 2 hours on MU once I've downloaded 2gb or so. As a free user, I can download 10gb a day from either one w/o breaking a sweat (a bunch of Virtual PCs with individual IPs, lol). I do have an RS premium but it expires soon and I have no reason to extend it, really

RS has more content and with megaupload 20% of your links go "temporarily offline" half the time. Nevermind the fact that it takes a day for them to get initially online in the first place. Also, they don't properly count your premium points when your files DO get downloaded. I had over 6000 downloads, and got around 250 points off them.
Besides, MU is great as a free user, so no real reason to pay them :)
I don't download all that much anymore anyway, so I just use my measly 2.66Gb/day RS account

megaupload is great with their new Happy Hour ! Rapidshare sucks hard, but releases are faster on RS than MU (tv shows...) :(

I am a huge fan of rapidshare (or was) and a premium user. After their changes to 2.66gb per day though... I'd rather chop off my head than continue paying them. If they have increased expenses, they should increase the money they ask for premium or add a special premium program over the 2.66gb per day one with an increased cost and the old download limits. Only 10 movies per month is ridiculous.

In any case, when my account expires, I am switching to megaupload. Most people will do so as well, I'm sure. So links will soon change to mostly MU and less RS.

Couldn't agree more with this, I don't have long left until I am restricted to an amazingly low 2.66gb, the old limit was bad enough for me...

I download at the exact same speed from both of them at all times, always 3.6mb per second. The only issue I am having is nearly all content is on rapidshare! Thats the only thing that will kill me when switching to mega upload; waiting for links to appear :'(

MU is cheaper... and less annoying for the free user when downloading

The problem with rapidshare is that every uploader uses it. MU may be better but the selection isn't even close. Until that changes i stick with RS
