Mother, 46, lured teen into sexual relationship after meeting him on online role-playing game Wizards 101

A 46-year-old woman has been found guilty of luring a teen into a sexual relationship after meeting him on the online role-playing game Wizards 101.
Cynthia Kusy began exchanging hundreds explicit emails and messages with the 16-year-old boy before meeting up for sex.
The married mother-of-one flew more than 1,000 miles from her home in Tennessee to North Dakota to meet up with the teenager.

They spent three days in a motel and she later flew the teen to Tennessee where they again had sex
A jury in Grand Forks, North Dakota, took less than 20 minutes to convict her of sex crimes and she now faces up to 15 years in jail.
The court heard that Kusy struck up a correspondence with the teenager after they met on the internet playing the game Wizards 101.
The pair began exchanging emails which became sexually explicit during the months before she flew to Grand Forks in April 2011.
Prosecutors said they spent three days in a motel after Kusy rented a room with a king bed and a Jacuzzi.
A week later she drove him to Knoxville in Tennessee.
The boy's mother reported him as missing, leading to a police investigation.

Wizards 101: Kusy, 47, was found guilty of using a
computer or other electronic means to induce or invite
the boy to engage in sexual acts

Investigators found 800 messages from Kusy on the boy's computer.
They couple also spoke frequently on the phone when the teen's mother was not at home.
Prosecutors said the online chats showed that Kusy knew the boy was not of the legal age of 18 to consent to sex.
Kusy denied having sex with the teen but did not call any witnesses for her defence.
Her teen victim gave evidence but barely looked at her during the trial.
A jury at North Dakota District Court found her guilty of two counts of sexual assault of a minor and one count of luring a minor sexually over the Internet.
All are class C felonies that each carry a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Kusy will be sentenced in October.
Jurors later told the media that the paper trail of messages led to their swift conclusion.
Juror David Frisch said: 'In the court room, the writing was on the wall. It was all written out step-by-step,' referring to the internet messages.

Meh.. give the horny old dog 1 year of jail time and 4 years of community service. Evidence is circumstantial at best and no concrete physical evidence is provided that the sex act did take place. Funny how she was not brought up on kidnapping charges.

Probably a measure of how predatory and calculating she seems to have been.

Does seem a bit odd from a European perspective - where consent age is generally 16 or less (ewww) in many countries - but she obviously knew the law and chose to break it, in quite a creepy manner it has to be said.
