You know you can do a backup with windows 7 itself that is easy as pie if you have 2 drives or an external drive.
Control panel>backup your computer(backup and restore)
Click create system image on the left,
tell it where to make the backup,
let it do its thing.
Either create a restore disk or use your install disk to load the computer. Click repair my computer. Restore from image,delete the old partition or format the drive under drive options, then UNCHECK the drives you DON'T want to have the image applied to and start the restore. Let it do it's thing and you should be ready to go soon. :)

Nope! When I click on Back-up, I get "file not found" or something like that. I have left work and am going to play golf. I'll post what it says tomorrow.

So, your OS install is no good.
Download one of the win 7's with SP1 integrated and reinstall.
It seems a simple thing to me but I may be missing something.
I also have a "D" drive with my My Documents folder and MP3 folder on it so that makes it a bit easier.

I just hate to reload everything!!! I have it working right now---used a different WAT remover and it seems to be working. I am not installing any more updates to the OS just in case!
