It's fake in the sense that everything that happens is scripted and the winner is determined before the match. It's basically a soap opera with fighting. Although that doesn't mean that people don't get injured and at times killed while doing it. I havn't watched in many years but I remember when I was real young a guy actually died live on a PPV event.

Yeah, he does at Wrestlemania and he still undefeated there. Wrestling is kinda fake but no all of it. Maybe the kicks and punches but the grapple moves like the tombstone, stone cold stunner and mandible claw are kinda real. The blood and injuries are also real.

it is Sports Entertainment. The outcome (normally) is predetermined, but the actual moves performed are decided as it happens. The Injuries & Blood are real (though the blood is sometimes self-induced) the holds are real (though most don't hurt nearly as much as the audience is lead to believe) IF you try to watch it as a Sporting event (like football or baseball) you will be disappointed. IF you watch it strictly as Entertainment (like a movie or any other TV Show) then you will enjoy it. Speaking of which, I just finished downloading Monday Night's Raw .... time to go get Entertained

dont wanna ruin your enjoyment mate but your off your head if you think the tombstone or the stunner are real, trust me if a man the size of the undertaker drove you head first into the floor you would be lucky to ever walk again, thats if you lived through it!! every single move in wrestling is fake to the extent that they are practised in the gym for years they may improvise and work on the hoof a bit live but at no time are they trying to "hurt" each other do you think they'll actually allow them to do those moves full on, and real? i never thought it was real, but it would hurt, they arent real in terms of a killing move

Quote: actually, i dont think you understand, of course the moves arent real, in terms of a violent move, but are real in the aspect, when you compare it to other moves.

World Wresting Entertainment & ECW are totally fake, as fake as the boobs of nearly all Divas. However it is entertaining, funny and just plain stupid Last edited by R0BIN; 05-21-08 at 10:03 AM.

what aspect? yes in reality the undertaker lifts someone off the floor it isnt CGI or anything but no when he drops the guy to the floor supposedly on his head and knocking him unconscious and pins him he actually cushions him with his legs the guy pretends to be out he puts his hand on him 1,2,3 its like the divas with false breasts are they real in the sense of how god made them? No does this stop us enjoying the entertainment value of seeing them bounce around? again no haha

Is Wrestling Scripted? - yes are the moves fake - NO think about it, before you say anything.... yes the moves are well rehearsed, and both of the wrestlers work together to make it as entertaining as they can. however, when one of the wrestlers jumps from off of the top rope and lands on another wrestler (whether it be a Frog Splash, Flying Clothes Line, Moonsault, Flying Leg Drop, whatever) the wrestler on the receiving end is taking the FULL wieght of his opponent crashing down on him. Those moves may be practiced, but they are real. it is very rare when any professional wrestler intentually hurts another, but it does happen. MOST of the time the two wrestlers work together to keep from hurting each other, but not always.
