I've been obsessed with that woman ever since I saw her on MTV in the 90s. Matter of fact, I'll be heading down to Singapore in August to see her band (Garbage) perform live. I missed out on seeing them twice before.

Back on topic..

I'm off to stock the fridge with some beer for the big game.

My vote goes out to France, they have a scary winning streak going on and the whole team is in top condition. Can't say that about England.

Croatian Offside: I do not see any Irish player who keeps the Croatian player onside, honestly.

Here it's the video anyway

There is better video but even on that you can see From time 0.16 - 0.20 sec. Look closely. In all it goes like this:

First thing: Croatia player SHOOT at goal while 2 croatian players are in "offside" - By UEFA rules, if those 2 players doesn't participate with that shoot (aka try to touch ball or disturb goalkeeper from seeing ball etc) then SHOT is regular, that shoot was blocked..so going next..(no offside)

Second thing: IRISH player PASS ball to CROATIA player in offside - thats also regular by UEFA. There is nothing wrong with that goal. Even at press-conference after game it was confirmed by reporters.

So in your opinion there were two Croatian players near the Irish goalkeeper but they weren't in 'active play' (FIFA definition) because they did not touch ball, hence the goalkeeper could rule out that they might shoot had they had the opportunity to shoot.

Active/inactive play is actually a very complicated issue, and a question of interpretations, I think you'll agree with this.

England v France
Decent first half ..... Piss poor second
Surprised how tired and unimaginative both sides were after 60 minutes obviously being paid between 100 and 200k a week in the premiership doesn't mean you have to be fit enough to compete for 90 minutes these days??

Ofcourse, I wouldn't say anything if referee has called an offside, its his opinion about active/inactive play. I just saying its not his fault like penalty was. Most peoples dont know about offside rules and I pointing at rules that allow referee to accept that goal as good. Well I am bad at English so I hope you understand what I mean to say.

Anyway, England - France 1:1....I wasnt expecting that, France was better imo, and I thought it would be England before game started.

Agree, active/inactive play is a referee interpretation, and for this reason I think referees should have slow motion devices on the playground in order to give the right interpretation.

I haven't been impressed by the match England-France, all the players seemed to be walking in the park on a sunny Sunday morning. Nice, but that was not football
