What Did You Spend Your First Earned Money On?

Forget about allowances or money that guardians or other people give you as gifts. Let's talk about money you earned for yourself from a job where you had to do something before receiving money. What did you spend it on and what did you do to earn that money?

I actually earned my first few thousand dollars in my mid 20s. I never had the chance to take part time jobs or work as a teenager because everything was just being given to me. The on the job training I took in college didn't pay so I just treated it as just another extra subject that I had to do for the sake of graduating. I actually had two jobs when I first started, one as a data entry person which I took 3 days a week, and another as an in-store marketer for home improvement, also 3 days a week. I got both jobs almost simultaneously and took them together since the schedule permitted me to. More jobs mean more money for me!

The first thing I spent money on was this old DGX-505 piano that I found on Amazon just because I wouldn't last a year without playing the piano as it was one of my hobbies aside from doing computer stuff. I also gave some money to my relatives.

A brand new Honda 750/4 at the age of 16!
$2800, it took a full time job and a bank loan.

Funny, my son is 18 and I couldn't imagine him, or any of the kids he went to school with riding around on a Honda 750, they were big and heavy, also powerful in their time.
I think I matured earlier than most kids, I had to. Now, I've reverted.

There were no computers or online sources, options were limited and we needed time to physically go out and chase down what we wanted, no touch of a keyboard, blink of an eye and get anything from anywhere around the world...

Ah, the old days were really much simpler even if everything I had to do was harder......

Orange 1984 Ford Mustang similar to this photo. Think I got it for around $1,400. It was only 3yrs old or so when I bought it and it was stock and gutless, but still had a lot of fun with it.

I was working at Thom McAn and Nobody beats the Wiz at the time. Received a big com check and bought a '92 Dodge Daytona. I was 18

Bought and paid in full a Chevelle SS.

I was earning money from the time I was 10 years old mowing yards with a push mower---the reel type with no motor. I am sure I spent it on candy and clothes. I really don't remember a time when I wasn't working and earning money!

I bought a Schott leather jacket, a bomber actually. I was 21 or 22, I can't remember now. A good jacket, I still have it, albeit now I use it rarely.

didnt sell a pc, but essentially got the same thing with my first earned cash.

Got my first job in college and spent my entire paycheck (maybe $250?) on Grey Goose and had a party in my dorm room...Man, I miss those days.

First job I had, I bought my brother's Chevy s10 truck. I loved it because it meant that I didn't have to walk across town anymore.

pretty much the same here. I also helped my grandfather, he worked for the V.A., so I did alot of cleaning and boarding up houses.

First real paycheck was probably spent on... food. Clothes and food.

First paycheck was 3920 dollars and it was spent as a first installment for my 2004 Toyota corolla.
