In addition the rusty areas that are visible where the water slide is welded to its support connections along the top adds another level of adrenaline rush wondering if and when the thing is going to separate. They must be using salt water in the slide which is leaking causing the rust.

Here in northeast Thailand they just opened a brand new pool complex complete with water slides in the city not far from us a couple of months ago. It's beautiful except they used chrome-plated railings on the stairs and platforms leading up to the top of the water slides and they're already rusted from the salt water. OOPS! I'm guessing chlorinated pools are getting too expensive to maintain so everyone is switching to salt water.

I seen a guy die from a slide that looks exactly like that, on the internet of course. It either decided not to support his weight or he did a side to side super jump off the side. RIP either way.

It must be pretty poor plating but it definately won't effect the ride. :)
