You made me so happy! I've got bought the 3 OSTs, but is more easy to sound directly from a rip that using the DVD each time!

One question, is this the same version as the torrent (13.8 gb) that is curculating?

Thank you in advance!!

Kinda strange... the torrent version has ReplayGain. Everything else seems the same.

No prob! i'm very happy of finally listening to this in my 5.1 PC speakers!

You'll need to be able to send PCM 5.1 to your receiver (need hdmi connection and proper drivers) if you want to enjoy this in it's best quality. If your system supports realtime ac3/dts encoding you can use that via spdif (optical/coax) but it won't be lossless anymore.

I am not sure if there are soundcards yet that support realtime Dolby HD or DTS-HD/MA encoding but it won't matter because you'd need hdmi for that to work as well.

I can send bitstream dts/ac3 w/o any problem via hdmi (yes I am using hdmi forgot to mention) using vlc (not using any codec pack). Since flac can not be bitstreamed I am guessing media players already decodes it to LPCM but in my case only 2 channels are demuxed and sent.

The thing I wonder is what do you guys use as a codec/player. I may try k-lite wmp duo if that is supporting multichannel flac. Thanks for the help.

Try setting your speaker config in windows to 5.1. It probably defaults to stereo or headphones. Fairly certain it's not a codec/player problem. It's just setting up windows or your soundcard drivers correctly so LPCM 5.1 is treated properly. If setting your speaker config to 5.1 doesn't help then use the WASAPI HDMI output device if your drivers support that. WASAPI (or ASIO) should ensure that windows won't touch the decoded stream.

First of all thanks for your effort Loora I really appreciate it.
I also tried ffdshow + media player classic and had the same results. Output filter shows 6 channel lpcm so as you stated (somewhere before hdmi transmission) windows is downmixing output to stereo. The odd thing is there isn't any speaker configuration when digital output (hdmi) is selected (using latest realtek hd audio drivers for Win7) is that possible? Haven't tried WASAPI/ASIO hope it is supported.
