I'm not sure where the best place is to post this question anymore.
Please send me in the right direction if this is the wrong place.
My husband got me a kindle fire for my birthday. I have a lot of epub novels for my sony ereader. If I convert them to mobi, can I read them on the kindle fire? My son says no, but he's no expert. He says kindle has a kill switch which will erase all my book content if they are illegal copies.
Is this true? I don't see how it can be. Most of the users of this service have kindles and download books and read them fine.

I've had no problem with Mobi files. Here is a link to the best e-book converter I've found. Convert, plug in your Kindle and upload your books. Code: Select All http://calibre-ebook.com/download |

If you don't want to convert all your books, you can sideload a epub reader app and read the epubs that way.

I would never have guessed to post this here. This seems like a really odd place to ask this question. This is NOT a literature discussion question. I couldn't find where to post this question. I looked and looked and couldn't find the "proper" forum. The ebook discussion thread was locked and I couldn't find anywhere else to post. Maybe you shouldn't make it so difficult and people wouldn't have such a problem. I have a limited amount of time I can spend online. You can be sure I'll never come back HERE to ask a question. |
