Yes converted to mobi format. It can load audiobooks and mp3s though I never did either with the kindle 2 nor will I with the 3 as I hate audiobooks and have an mp3 player

1 month per charge on the battery I have not even had to charge it since the 1st day and I have had it for 3 weeks.
has a usb cord with a plug that slides on so you can charge by computer or a wall socket.

But I do miss borrowing ebooks from the library though most ebooks available are old. It still wonderful to read it on my ebook reader for free. :)
Looks like we have the same readers. lol My Pocket Pro is peeling badly it started after it got 8 months old and every since Astak fired their main guy their tech support has become non existent. I really love my Kindle 3 and for library books you can remove the DRM and convert to Mobi then just delete the book after done reading. Many Kindle users do this.

I use Dropbox too or just mail the books to my Kindle using it's free address.

@JustaPixel, LOL ...yeah, I used to visit mobile read Astak thread often before but after RobertB was fired I just drop by and see if there's anything new. Their website is still out of ebook readers to sell and thanksgiving/black friday is just around the corner. I don't know how to remove the DRM of any ebooks except the DRM plug ins in Calibre for Kindle books. Using Pythons is over my head and I'm not a techie person. So I still use my Astak in regards to borrowing ebooks from the library or if I'm being lazy of converting the ebooks. :) Though ADE is a pain in the a** to use sometimes. It keeps on crashing. I have to uninstall and reinstall the darn thing.

The Dropbox is really helpful for me. When I'm out and all the books I had on my K3 don't interest me to read it yet, I just open my browser and log on to my dropbox and look thru my ebooks library and download it. Pretty neat...I never thought I would find any use with the wifi/3g connection other than the gratification of buying the books when it first come out bec that's not part of the faeture I was looking for in an ebook reader I only want it purely for reading without any distraction on checking email etc. but it does have it's uses. :)

Does anyone know how to mark the last page that you read in theparadox so that the next time you go in there you can start where you left off? I have been using the "favorite" tab in Internet Explorer but the next time I go back the page I book marked is not there anymore and it sends me to the last page. Example: When I quit reading, I may have been at the last page, 1565, but the next time I got on, the last page is 1538. I don't know how else to mark it.

Appreciate your help. Thanks.

go to your control panel(user CP) at the top of the page and subscribe to the thread, then when u sign in and go to the thread, it will say view first unread right next to where it says the page number on the left hand side of your screen, which is where u left off last. click on that and it will take u to last item viewed, do for all the threads u visit
hope this is not confusing

Thanks for your help. I think I did everything correct but when I go to that thread, I can't find anything where it says "view first unread".

To subscribe, I went to each thread and subscribed. In the Control Panel, I couldn't find where I was to subscribe. Now when I go to the Control Panel, it shows that I have the thread but when I click on that thread, it takes me to the first page and there is nothing there that says view first unread.

Am I doing something wrong?

I uploaded Portable ABBYY FineReader9 Pro to zippyshare. Doesn't need installing or serial number, just unzip and put those two files together in one folder and you can use it or take it with you everywhere. It works fine, I scan with it and then save in doc. a formatted text and then if you scanned well, you have about 10 errors to edit. Scan options are already set: 300dpi greyscale is the BEST options when recognizing text (instead of various shadows and stains in b/w recognized as text!). You can set the scanner on automatic, so you don't have to push OK, it does all automatically. So when you run the program - first hide the window in the middle with all the options (don't need it) and push the scan button on top-left, you need to have your scanner attached, and then set the scanning area and 1 sec between the pages and start. You can edit in Abbyy or later in doc. If it says you need to recognize some pages, push the "read document" again. If the program crash, usually it recovers the latest work, thanks God! Good scanning I hope I helped

GO TO QUICK LINKS ABOVE AND THEN YOU WILL SEE SUBSCRIBED THREAD AND CLICK ON THAT, FOR EACH THREAD YOU subscribed to (ITS UNDER MISCELLANEOUS)

ITS A LITTLE YELLOW/ORANGE ARROW FOR THE VIEW FIRST UNREAD BUTTON on the black strip that is showing above, it only shows if there is a post you haven't view as yet for said thread.
HOPE THIS HELPS AND SORRRRRRRRRY FOR THE SCREAMING

I finally found the "First Unread" button this morn. I kept looking for it when there wasn't anything new to read. Thanks Tanyadavis for all your help. I was starting to lose hair over this one. LOL! Appreciate all your help.
