This is my first post on this forum, i hope you enjoy this program.
MacSpeech Dictate International provides a whole new way to interact with your Mac. Instead of typing, use your voice to input text; rather than clicking your mouse, just speak commands. With MacSpeech Dictate International, it's easy. Plus, MacSpeech Dictate International supports and fully understands four different languages: English, French, German, and Italian.
System Requirements: Intel-based Mac with Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Leopard) through Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
Instructions:
1: Copy the app to your applications folder
2: Mount the Data disk
3: Run the app
4: Deselect "Check for updates at startup."
Some users have said to use Little Snitch to block the app from the internet, but i have found deselecting "Check for updates at startup." does the trick just as well...
The program requires an external USB mic, however it is also possible to use your internal microphone (with a lower quality) by following these instructions:
- Download Soundflower (free) - see below
- Download Lineln (free) - see below
- Install SoundFlower and Lineln,
- Open SoundFlower and make sure outputs are set to OFF (None)
- Open LineIn make Input from Built-in Microphone: internal
- Set Output to: Soundflower (2 channels)
- Then click Pass Thru
- With Lineln open, you can use your built in mic with MacSpeech

Please download the last part as a free user to help support me...thanx

Some people have been saying that after a couple of months, the program stops working...i believe that is because the program is calling home...to be on the safe side, you may want to block this program using lil snitch or the like, however, i have not found it necessary.
Please say thanx
