Stalker series if you haven't played them. They are real pc games though, no auto aim bs and you must aim for the head.

Hear Metro 2033 is good as well, same type of game. Haven't started it yet though. Beefy pc a must.

Crysis and Crysis Warhead were fun too.

This is what i've played and for me its good:

1. RPG : Dragon Age; Origins & The Awakening
2. RTS : C&C 4 Tiberium Twilight
3. 1st Person Shooter : COD series, Battlfield Bad Company, Sniper Ghost Warrior
4. 3rd person shooter : GTA IV Episodes from Liberty City, The Scourge
5. Arcade : Plants Vs Zombies GotYear Edition, Armada Tanks
6. Online Shooting : Crossfire

P/S: Well, Sniper Ghost Warrior have a nice cut-scene when u shoot from a nice angle. If u choose to play it with a 'hard' difficulty you'll have to read the air speed indicator as well as the timing of you inhaling your breath to take a perfect shot..

Metro 2033 is FANTASTIC, but not the same type of game as Stalker. Metro is very straight forward and isn't as unforgiving. Both fantastic games, though.

For games that are just straight up bad-ass on PC, might check out Just Cause 2. It's surprisingly well ported and optimized.

I'm really enjoying Mount & Blade at the moment, though it takes time to play. You should also try Blur, its like Jak X but with Epic graphics and on the pc of course. Also, try Assassin's Creed 2, its got customizability, action, stealth and free-form gameplay....
