I still like world of warcraft best. but im hoping starwars old republic or something can change that but i am doubtful

In terms of the amount of current subscribers: World of Warcraft
In terms of gaining users at one of the fastest current rates: Rift
In terms of populairity in a pre-release state: Star Wars: The Old Republic

To be honest, I'm only excited about Star Wars: The Old Republic. Mainly because of that they give a new level of player/story immersion what others don't. And also how they are going to counter grinding in general.

I thought this went without saying by now... WoW is the best MMORPG.. has been for a very long time! I have tried about 40+ of them by now and I haven't found anything better. It is the best.
The gameplay is stretched out so that you don't get bored after a week.. its not like in your face like some other MMOs so you have the chance to potter around and do what you like whether its learning professions or playing the economy to make money and become rich.. or raid with your friends and play in some of the greatest video game battles ever created.

Even the cinematic's are like the quality of a epic Hollywood blockbuster. When I first killed the Lich King and watched the cut-scene afterwards, the hairs on my neck stood up. It was just perfect, but I won't spoil it for anyone by explaining why!

Anyone would be a fool to not atleast try WoW in my honest opinion.. everybody says they won't like it but you will after a while. Give it 20 levels or so before you make up your mind though

I've played WoW since one week after release and overall it's a great game. Been tempted to try out Rift but I am always wary of playing multiple MMOs at the same time. It looks great and everyone says great things about it, but I just don't have the time to invest to play multiple MMOs at the same time, especially this month when there are going to be so many great games coming out also.

The biggest problem I see with Rift blocking some subscribers is the computer requirements. One of the biggest draws with WoW is that you can run it even with a piece of junk computer. The low requirements allow a lot of people to try it first, and then seeing how addictive it is, they get sucked in.

As far as The Old Republic goes, there's just not enough hard evidence to see how good of a game it is going to be. Yea, it looks great, sounds great, etc etc, but until you get a mass market beta test, there's just too much unknown.

Didn't have the chance to try out Rift. WoW is the best MMORPG out there atm SADLY. EVE Online best MMO game. I played WoW untill WoTLK came and than i quit when crusader arena came out... Started out again now in Cata to see if the improved something and the answer is NO. Gave out all my stuff to friend destroyed all items, and im done and trough with WoW. Blizzard promised "Vanila raiding experience" bla bla bla, in the end we get exactly the same crap only gear isn't purple in dungeons it's blue(epics in dungeons coming in next patch). Dungeons are easy for anyone who has 2 braincells to rub together and they are being dumbed down constantly, alot of QQ from IDIOTS in forums gives now Epics in Dungeons etc etc etc etc. For the guy that said there are SO MUCH things to do i can just say LOL? Raid, Arena, Dalies GRIND.(After u kill bosses raids are grind, and arena is honor grind, and dalies are gold - rep grind. So u have to do 4 things Grind GRind GRINd OR GRIND. Won't even speak about "balanced" PVP based on "rock - paper -scissors system".

Blizz employe: We seam unable to balance combat in PVP, I KNOW LETS GIVE EM ALL 100K hp that will make everything allright! Times when my mage had 7k hp compared to 13 k warrior made u really use ur skills in game and outside to not to die in 3 sec.

Raid content. Before: Twin Emps, C'thun, Chess Event, Opera House... And now :/

Won't waste my fingers anymore fanbois gonna do whatever fanbois do. But please do keep em dollars and euros roll in for SC2 Heart of the swarm and legacy of the void, and diablo 3 ofc. Love u all <3
