normally cause by either corrupt download or the initial upload. if its the upload people would let the uploader know pretty much straight away. so my guess is its your download. if its multipart the download the part that it crashes on as thats the most likely culprit. if that doesnt fix it, then its an earlier part because checksums are created as each section is uncompressed... you can try using hjsplit to join all parts of the archive b4 you extract it and this may get rid of the error but thats hit and miss. its better to find out which file is causing it in the first place. other things that can cause checksum errors. unstable cpu/memory caused by overclocking. if the oc is unstable the cpu and memory can cause bad data to be written to disk causing checksum errors. fix, revert back to stock clocks or lower the oc till its stable. bad disk. the hdd your writing to is damaged and causing file corruption. fix runchkdsk and map out any bad sectors or save to a different drive/partition. my guess is that its your downloads, your probably not using a filemanager or you have it setup wrong. use getright or similar and hopefully this will sort your issue... if you download multiple files without a file manager you wont be able to pre allocate the filespace needed for the file which leads to fragmentation, this fragmentation increases the possibility of bad writes. good luck. |
