Default Diablo 3

Been having really crappy experience playing this game, my game keep spiking or lagging(don't really know the difference), keep dying every few minutes in inferno. My laptop is is like intel core i5 with nvdia geforce 540M. So, i don't really know how to make it more playable. Any suggestions?

I dont see the point of dont use wifi, been using wifi for most of my multiplayer online game. Not an issue and yes I'm also using a wireless mouse and owned most of my dota 2 games. You can stick to your argument that there is a bit of delay which is just a few ms and as a human you cant even count seconds in milliseconds.

And you can keep your offensive verbs to yourself.
I'm not an anti-wifi or anti wireless player. I just happen to have 2 friends who had to stop using wifi when we were playing together online. Now they both use PLC. Wifi was the problem.
Glad you don't have trouble playing with wifi, but some do.

Have you narrowed it down to a connection problem or a hardware problem? As in, does it say your latency is crazy high like 2000ms+ or is it fine? If its hardware have you tried dropping your settings to minimum?

This. Just because other people don't like wifi you don't need to diss everyone that disagrees with you.

btw, I've noticed a big difference playing LoL with both ~70 and ~200 ms. Pretty big difference and yo ucan definitely tell. At 130 you can already tell some delay, whether you'll admit it or not.

On topic, there's not much you can do besides upgrading your deal with your isp, or go and complain to your isp. Still...eve nif it's your isp fault, they will most likely denie it and accuse third party servers.

And, don't forget about router NAT settings. That can cause big problems on quite a few online games.

Diablo 3 is a cluster-&%%%. Never buying anything from Blizzard again (as long as they have online drm anyway), Activision screwed them up big time. Oh well, there's lots of good games out on the market, and Torchlight 2 is coming out soon.

You're probably playing on your Intel graphics GPU and you need it to set the game to play on your Nvidia GPU.

Nvidia Optimus Guide for GeForce GT 300m/400m/500m/600m

Make sure you select "GeForce 300m/400m/500m/600m Series (Notebook)."

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Once you have your game installed and your latest Nvidia driver, you need to add the Diablo3 to be used with your GeForce GPU because you have Nvidia Optimus.

What is Nvidia Optimus?
This technology allows your laptop to switch between the integrated graphics (Intel HD) and the high performance graphics (Nvidia GeForce) for better battery life and to use the Nvidia graphics when you really need it.

1. Right click anywhere on your desktop.
2. Select Nvidia Control Panel
3. Select "Manage 3D settings" on the left
4. Make sure under "Global Settings" tab is set to "Auto-Select" because you want more battery life on your laptop and this means Nvidia Optimus is on.
5. Go to "Program settings" tab and follow steps 1, 2, and 3 in the window.

The steps 1, 2, & 3:
1) Click "Add" to find the game's .exe file, find it, then click "open," now you will now see the game's name in the box.

2) Under where it says "select prefered graphics processor for this program," you select the "High performance Nvidia processor"

3) Click "Apply," and then you're done.

Note for Step 2:
You might to change some of your other applications like web browser, Microsoft Office, and Windows Media Player to "integrated graphics" instead of the "High performance." The Intel HD graphics can play HD 1080p videos perfectly fine.

If you need pictures/screenshots on Steps 1, 2, & 3, I can provide them but send me a PM.
