Default How To Import ME1 Saves For ME2

Well, first of all, sorry if this "How-To" has been posted, but I thought since someone may be asking how to import their save from ME1 to ME2, I thought I may as well make a tutorial here, anyway here is how to do it in 3 easy steps.

Step 1 - Run ME2 launcher, and click configure

Step 2 - Choose "Save Game" on the left tab

Step 3 - Find your ME1 save directory, when you scroll down it should be Your Username > My Documents > Bioware > Mass Effect > Save (This is done on Win7, it may be different for XP and Vista)

After that is all done, then to import your character, all you do is New Game and click import character, and that's all. Have fun!

I actually did a search on google for "import me1 character" and this was on the first page. Thanks, I'll give this a try!

Is there any way I can transfer the saves without going through the configuration utility?
Everytime I try to use the configuration utility I have an APPCRASH and I'm not sure how to solve it.

I am not sure if it's possible, but after checking at my ME2 save folder, you can try this.. Not sure if it will work though.

Open up your ME1 save folder and your ME2 save folder. On ME2 save folder, create a new folder and name it "ME1" (without quotation marks). Then copy a file from ME1 save folder to the newly created ME1 folder in ME2 save folder. On mine the file name is "Char_01-56-1-1-0-12-1-2010-32-43"

If you don't really understand what to do, tell me and I'll gladly make a picture tutorial for it.
