RAGE issues

Anyone else suffering from absurd amounts of screen tearing and texture pop-in in RAGE?

I'm playing on my PC and it's getting hit pretty hard.

get up-to-date drivers, get latest game patches and make sure your video card is not over heating.

Runs like shit for me. Major screen tearing and texture pop-ins. I guess i'll have to wait a few days before I play again and hope they fixed it.

Thats suppose to max it entirely from what System Requirements lab said. Well, on my quad core it claims that it should max it entirely. And I think it should too seeing how the gtx 470 is a little more then a year old now. Which is not an old graphics card.

ot: hmmm, I've only heard of the texture pop-in in console version..still haven't got mine on the pc,, but if the problem hits other hard than I'll wait until they release a patch

any help i got a problem at rage the game stops after the cutscene error : windows stops

yea I would buy it if I decided I liked it BUT if there is any chance that I may not like it... why not try it first? For free. I always buy the games I like, but I always like to try them first. It is a lot of money to spend on games nowadays.

I cant change graphic settings other than antialiasing and screen res
texture pop up issue happens everywhere in the game

sorry to tell you m8 the 470 was made obsolete by the 570 and its been out 18 months which in pc terms is middle aged. your 470 like my 5870 is considered old although the 5870 has held its value slightly better due to its power efficiency... the 470 is such a power hungry unit it was replaced almost immediately by the 460 and if you had the choice of both the 460 would have been the card to buy.

as for texture pop. if you have an amd unit get the rage specific driver... its actualy 11.9 catalist but has been tweeked for rage specificaly. TP can also be cause by fragmentation and slow hdd performance.

you will need to fully uninstall your old driver and use something like driver sweeper. then install the new 1.

the majority of people here advocate buying games, especially if its a well made and enjoyable game. Ive heard that the pop up and screen tearing issue is entirely driver related. Its a bigger issue for radeon cards, but there is a new driver that addresses this issue. For nvidia users download the bf3 beta nvidia driver. I linked the article that i read. happy gaming!
