I have always been a console gamer but have slowly gotten into pc gaming and now am in need of a good mouse. I pretty much only play FPS and am looking for something not too crazy expensive but does the job well. I also understand DPI but have read that DPI beyond 1000 on a mouse serves no purpose and was wondering if someone could shed some light on that. I would also like a mouse that has a good selection of buttons on it since i am use to doing more with my right hand. the fewer buttons on the keyboard I have to use the better.

Steel Series Sensei Code: Select All http://steelseries.com/products/mice/steelseries-sensei Please remember to code tag any external links, an easy way is to highlight your links and press the "#" button on the toolbar. Or you can manually type in the code tags... [code]Links[/code] [url] tags need to be removed from links as they make the links live (click-able), they do not display correctly & send a referrer when clicked ie our site details get sent to the other site which can be problematic ![]() TheWang Last edited by TheWang; 05-20-12 at 10:58 AM. |

I have the Razer Naga Epic. Can be used as wireless or wired, I prefer wired. Change the colour to what you want also Even tho the mouse is built for MMO's, I dont really play them, all the side buttons work sooo good for FPS games, Mostly play BF3 & TF2 |

Using a Razer Naga myself. But I guess it's quite unnecessary for an FPS, maybe better for RTS and MMOs. And they're definitely not cheap either, though good quality. Not sure what else to recommend, maybe one of those Logitech G series mouse. I used the G5 for years, was quite happy with it. Last edited by L1b3rta; 05-20-12 at 02:39 PM. Reason: G5, not 500 |

I'm a big fan of the Roccat Kova+... but I like rather light mouses that can be moved with but a slight touch... Roccat makes reliable products, usually with very efficient drivers. The Kova+ may not have enough buttons for you, though I spend lots of hours on FPS myself I find Razer products a bit overpriced, and the drivers can be a real pain... Lots of buttons may seem cool, but, if possible, I recommend you verify you'll be able to really use these buttons. If the size or shape of the mouse doesn't fit well with your hand, you'll end up using one third of the buttons. Last edited by Nomoon; 05-20-12 at 11:59 AM. Reason: forgot something... |

I've got a Razer Naga but that isn't going to be overly useful if you only really play FPS's. There should be some other Razer mice that would appeal to you though.

Thanks all for quick replies. It looks like there is quite a lot who go for the Razer but don't really recommend them for FPS but I'll give them a look eh. I have seen quite a bit on the Corsair Vengeance anyone ever use it?

I had a Sidewinder X8, went through three of them (only paid for 1) in about a year and a half. Now have a Razer Deathadder Black Edition, seems okay for RTS and FPS.

Razer is fine for FPS's but the Naga isn't really made for them. It's mainly for MMOs and RPGs. I can't see 17 buttons being put to full use in an FPS. There are other Razer mice that would be more suitable for FPS's though.
