I have the same problem Kevin, will keep my fingers crossed that it's solved.

I can get the game to work if I only copy across the exes from the SKIDROW folder (and not the steam api/client files. But then when I start a new game it says "the storage device you have selected does not have enough space to create a new save." So, without being able to save the game is utterly useless.

Thanks. Well, I mounted the image. Installed the game as usual. I also installed the redistributables. Copied across all the files in the SKIDROW folder and I got the error that the OP mentions above, as soon as I launch (after using the launcher, choosing the language and saving, and using DX9 and DX10/11 exes).

I remembered I had the same problem with Football Manager 2012 and SKIDROW then released a nfo stating that for some Vista users you should only copy across the exe file/s and not the steam api/client files. So I tried that and the game launches fine. However, when I try to start a campaign it states "the storage device you have selected does not have enough space to create a new save." I have 150Gb+ on both of my HDs so it is obviously not creating a savegame folder or it's looking in the wrong place for it.

Any help would be much appreciated KevinTheAssassin / kevin360v.

Hey mikeym I did the exact same thing as you. Mounted .iso, installed game, copied contents from skidrow folder, launched launcher.exe, selected directx 9 and got that error in first post.

I just tried using original steam api/client files and the game launches. However I'm getting the "the storage device you have selected does not have enough space to create a new save." problem like mikeym.

Yes I installed to Program files "C:\Program Files\THQ\Saints Row The Third".

Tried running from cmd (as admin) and the same thing happens. Tried running in compatibility mode and still no joy.

Just thought I'd mention that all my drivers are up to date.

Here's hoping the fix will come soon.

I get that too, I'll wait patiently till tommorow morning for the fix, but a local game store has a deal going on it, so I might just get it then.

...but I'd still like that fix.

Did some googling apparently people with legit copies are getting this problem so its not skidrow's release.

@KevinTheAssassin I'm going to reinstall in another directory to see if that solves the problem.

Tried installing in different directory like KevinTheAssassin suggested still can't save.
Well just saw this post from a guy who couldn't save :

"All I needed to do was link my Steam and THQ accounts together and it saves perfectly fine now."

:S
