Saints Row The Third Problem

@KevinTheAssassin saves still don't work.
Does anyone know if any of the other scene groups cracked this game?

dont forget to copy the skidrow crack (from saint row the third)
then copy these files and overwrite.

It didn't worked for me... i did everything... if i open the game from saintsrowthethird.exe it is giving an error saying saints row the third has stopped working...and if i open the game from saintsrowthethid_dx11.exe it gives me an error saying Failed To Create The Video Device

Any ideas?

same thing here, it really makes the game unplayable,
and it's not like regular slow down - other then these few freezing seconds - which appear randomly, even in cutscenes and areas without any action, the game runs really well.

I followed KevinTheAssassin's guide to the letter and I can now play AND SAVE the game.

Here is his guide (slightly amended by me for clarification):

1. Download and install/extract game [any version] - do not apply crack
2. Download this crack:

3. Extract the crack to the game directory and overwrite.

4. If you have not already, install steam, log in at least once, log out and exit steam.

5. Download smartsteam:

6. Extract smartsteam somewhere (needs to be in its own folder, do not extract to your steam folder)

7. In the smartsteam folder open the smartsteam.ini, change the path to the location of smartsteam on your pc - should look something like this:
#SteamPath=C:\Program Files\SmartSteam\

8. Run smartsteam.exe and login, then let it run in the background (this allows you to save your game)

9. Make sure you have enable steamcloud in settings [SmartSteam].

10. Run "saintsrowthethird_dx11.exe" or "saintsrowthethird.exe" and play the game with full saving and DLCs with NO CHEATS active!

Hmmm... well. I just got to 2% completion after spending ages designing my character but then I had a power cut. When it came back on, I loaded up smart steam and then ST TT and there are no save games.

There are some files in my userdata folder in smart steam but the game doesn't seem to recognise them. I am now loathe to start new games in case this keeps happening.

Any ideas?
