During gameplay it freezes for a few seconds and it does this off and on what is the problem?

Hmm... Haven't seen this with my game might be a graphics card issue. I think the Readme has some troubleshooting solutions try those hope it helps.

Well that sucks... The power cut probably corrupted your save games. Guess the only way to really know will be to start over. At least the missions in the game are fun :)

Totally sucks. Waste of an afternoon. I just hope it was a one off and I don't get any power problems/crashes when I'm at 95% completion.

You should make a backup of your saves just to be safe.

I just did an experiment.

I started a new game and made about 5 savegames (1% completion). I backed up my entire userdata file (from SmartSteam folder). I quit and launched ST TT a few times and the save games were there.

Then I rebooted my PC. However, when I restarted the save games had vanished. I deleted the new userdata folder and replaced it with my back up folder. I launched the game and the save games WERE there. However, I cannot load them as it says they are corrupt.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this it would be much appreciated.

EDIT:
Actually, it's whenever I restart SmartSteam, not just a reboot. If I exit and restart SmartSteam I lose my saves.

Has anyone else restarted their PC and found/lost their save games?

Im going to save, and log out right now. Then try to go back in and see what happens.

Ok... I progessed the story far enough to where I am fighting hand to hand in the plane right in the beginning. I saved, exited game, exited smartsteam. Reloaded smartsteam and kept it running in background, then started the game. It allowed me to continue from beginning of that plane level.

Maybe it's just me that's having the problem then. What could be causing it?

Do you have normal Steam installed? Or do you enable steamcloud synch?

I have normal Steam installed. I did make sure to load it once (normal Steam) then logged out before starting SmartSteam if that makes any difference. Also, I just saved it at first point right after that skydiving/plane mission, where it is Shaundi and I on the street. I tehn closed the game down, also closed SmartSteam. Reloaded SmartSteam, kept it running in background and loaded game. Save is intact.

I have not powered down the PC yet though to see if my game gets erased. Ill try that next.

Edit: Ok I performed the above on a PC restart, and the game is still there.

Okay, I am an utter twerp.

In [Smart]Steam I hadn't put an X in the Enable SteamCloud in the settings menu.

I enabled it and... Jesus arse-wiping Christ... it works. I can save, restart SmartSteam, reboot, dance a jig all of it.

Was starting to feel like it was just me with this problem... and guess what... it was.

Thanks to all for all the great tips. I am keeping my fingers crossed this keeps working.

hello guys. I know it might be irrelevant. I have the skidrow release. It works fine but i have one problem. It will not let me change some display setting like shadows and ambient occlusion. Everything else is maxed out and my computer does not lag at all. Do you know what might be the problem?
