You can't use a no-dvd for this yet. Mac users were given an extra patch, which your sims2launcher would have put on when you installed the game. You are now running patch 1.22, and will have to wait for a new nodvd to be uploaded.

Waiting for crack isn't the best way now. Maybe cheewongken is busy or having trouble in cracking this version, so instead of waiting, I'm using a generations original MDS file to play by mount it, make the pc thinks that the mds file is the original dvd. And that works well with the patch. At least I can play TS3 with the latest patch. :)

i don't think the file is reliable. the file size is so big. isn't it supposed to be approx. 4 to 6 MB only?

i found this website in russian though, i don't know if it's reliable or not.

HEY! I JUST DOWNLOADED IT! AND IT CONTAINED THE CORRECT FILES!
BUT I DON'T KNOW WHETHER IT WORKS OR NOT.
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD FROM THE RIGHT BUTTON, AND THE FILE TYPE IS A .7Z

IT ACTUALLY WORKS!

I am now playing the updated v 1.22.9 sims from the russian website crack.

You only have to copy paste the files to THE SIMS 3 folder. (NOT THE SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES / AMBITIONS / GENERATIONS / ETC!)

if you go to sims 3 official patch page, you'll see v1.22.9 patch is around 644MB. I know, because I got this patch from sims3 official website.
the file I got is named TS3_1.22.9.0110xx_update (worldwide patch)

The 1.22.9 patch patches everything, all expansions and addon packs. By the looks, from all other patch stages as well (patch says "from any") finally got a chance now to try out the FLTDOX full patch and crack, gonna try it now.

UPDATE, didnt update everything, but did update base game, worked fine so far. Apparently updating to this patch is only necessary if you have the Generations expansion, other than that, patch at your own risk.
