Wolfshade, I'd go with the Ultimate Fix (here: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t7...-your-problems ) or give Twallan's NoCD mod (at http://the-isz.com/nraas ) a go.

Ok so the link for the original Sims 3.exe is dead, so I browsed through the thread for some help, and found a link to the original plus a host file, and then a link to another site which had the exact same two files packaged. Can anyone please help me here? When trying to launch, its reading d3_dx931.dll is missing from your computer

d3_dx931.dll is a file you need to run a core mod on your game. Are you trying to install AwesomeMod or Indie mod, by any chance?

Core mods specifically. You need Resources.cfg to run script mods and any custom content that comes in a .package file.
