Blood was an FPS on the build engine, and I found it pretty funny sometimes. Kind of like Duke Nukem 3D, circa 1930's.
I remember the Game, Blood. Initially played the demo and the full version. Excellent FPS game along with Aliens.

Also, Prince of Persia 3D (POP3D), Tomb Raider which takes me around 13 year back just like that.

I remember the original Prince of Persia games, the side-scrollers. God, they pissed me off. You had like 2 hours or so to beat the game, or the princess died. I remembered loving the second one, Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame.

I do recall playing an old Prince of Persia 3D - everyone was really blocky, not much for level design. I didn't beat it. I couldn't get the hang of the 3D controls and got frustrated with it. I have played and beaten the more modern Prince games, though.

By the way, does anyone know any games with similar gameplay? :)

It's a one-eyed, two-thumbed Torkie, and he won't let you pass!

Not even the Internets remember my first computer game on the Apple II. I have searched everywhere to no avail for any reference to Wizard 1 which was a very early type of RPG. I assumed it was a Sierra game that came before Wizard and the Princess, but it wasn't. It was actually a lot better, without endless paths to navigate by trial and error, and allowed you to change your character type a certain number of times to accomplish different tasks.

Gunman Chronicles was awesome. Actually, I replayed a couple months ago.

I'd have to say Hero's Quest on Dos.

Probably 50 percent of all the games I played no one knows what the hell they were lol

But.. my fav that no one ever mentions is the dreamcast game, Jet Set Radio.
Came out around 12 years ago, and was ahead of its time, was way too much fun, and I still play it.

p.s a HD edition is due for release soon on PC!!!

I'd say any MS DOS game from the 90's. There are so many classic titles, simple perhaps but extremely fun. Who can resist the charm of MIDI music and side-scrolling 8-bit graphics? Most kids these days have never heard of DOS, and don't appreciate its significance in the history of PC games.

I find this thread somewhat uplifting and depressing haha

Uplifting because I recognize almost ALL of the games mentioned... I feel your pain fellow obscure gamers...

Depressing because I recognize almost ALL of these games and my inner-nerd may be far larger then I like to think... Haha

Btw, whoever posted about blood. I have the original, expansion, and second installed on my PC right now.

Steve, I'm excited for the HD release of JSR as I never got to play it...

Since I play a lot of old games, there can be many that I know. But this one comes to mind right now: The Guild 2. It's expansion "Renaissance", includes the original game, has been released in 2010 (not so old). The problem with this game is buggy. The devs don't have enough money to work on patches. They're bankrupted. The gameplay's unique, not many other games share much similarities.
