Wings of prey - everything is russian!!!

Just wonder if anyone has tried this method for a working english version.
I just made a working english version of Lock-On Flaming Cliffs 2.0 since only the russian version had a crack or at least thats all I could find.
1.What I did was download the russian and english versions
2.Installed both onto different hard drives.
3.Then copied folders from the english install that had anything to do with speech,sounds,fonts and similar things.
4.Then it has a bin folder with alot of dll files but not all can be copied from the english and put into russian,so I made a backup folder and tried 3 files at a time until I had a fully working game.

Doing this took me maybe an hour to find the needed files to make a the russian version fully english but using the russian crack to play.I kept a file and folder list while dong all this then I went back and made those files into a rar file.
Now i just install the russian version then extract my newly created rar file and overwrite files.

I dunno if its already been tried but dam there are alot of posts to read through.Id try it myself but I only have the english version,would need to dl the rus.

Anyways just a thought.

Twitch, just overwrite the English bin with the cracked russian bin, as for the FC2.0

Thats what I was saying....I just dont have both versions of WOP,maybe if I get around to dl'ing it.Just been to busy with cars lately.

As for FC2.0...it works perfect with this hack job.In FC2 you have to overwrite more than just the bin folder....its several folders.I tried just the bin but didnt work,it broke the campaigns and only certain files in the bin are replaced..or it will break the campaigns.

Hey Twitch, I truly do wish it were that simple of a fix but let me try to explain a very long story into a few sentences. Way back when this was released and shortly after the Russian crack was out, there were a few of us that tried many different things, and one of those things was to identify which bytes the crack actually changed. I forget the exact number, but I think it was only 96 bytes. Now I am not an experienced cracker by any means, but there was some speculation that the english files might not be included in our full versions. Only an English demo with two missions. Then the whole thing just died right before our eyes. Seems nobody is interested in cracking this, and everybody who WAS interested... lost it. There really aren't any other language bin files in the install directory as far as I can see, but if there is anything I can do to assist, please let me know.

When i want to start aces.exe i get (oxc00000043)
people are saying that you need asf.dll to fix that

ok you say we cant cracked to english just because there is not an english full version.
you know u can buy this game by steam!, and if you can buy something by steam you can " get it free" by steam busted ,cracked, etc. if somebody could dowload it from steam i think its BINGOoo

ok i have only read the first and the last page her but i know whats the problem but i dont know how to fix it.

it's the activation.dll that causes the russian language, if you wanna try and english demo though, you should install the game update to 1.0.2.1 and your good to go but the minute you apply any crack aviable you'll receive the rus lang from activation.dll

im trying to learn how to read .dll's though. ill help out if i can

Hey, I have this problem - I play the demo version, didn't do anything to it yet so it is the 1.0.0.3 version, while playing I get the "Destroy the Stukas" message and a while after that my game freezes, any solutions? It runs smoothly on full details and reducing them doesn't help...

I use Acer 3820Tg Laptop with Core i5 430m, 4GB RAM, ATi HD5650 and Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit
