My problem is the german campaigns are oddly too hard? Another thing that pisses me off is that the stuka dive brake doesn't "scream". The game is rather historically inaccurate in quite a lot of ways. Yeah the americans sound pretty dumb and dramatic. The british sound ok though. I keep waiting for a brit to say "Isn't it tea time, ol' chap?" I wished I had trackir 5 for this game....Freetrack doesn't quite cut it. There should be better "simulator" options as well. I guess I will wait for storm of war, battle of britain. I do like how the xbox 360 controller works so well with the game though.

Well Ive been using the TrackIR and a Saitek X52 and it really doesnt help the game much.This is just a console port.The newer sims just havnt been all that fun.I bought Rise Of flight,but find it boring,but DCS Blackshark is an exception,plus they redid LockOn with Lock On Flamming Cliffs 2.0,its nice.But nothing beats the simplicity of WW2 sims...so to speak.

Well the hardest dogfight is WWII. The reason for that is they didn't have jet engines then so getting away from the enemy took a lot more skill. I still envy you and your TrackIR. I bet it works a lot better than my free-track thing I built and works a lot smoother? playing the game with the the xbox 360 2nd thumbstick works as well but it's somewhat of a pain in the ass.

I have lock-on but not blazing cliffs. I don't like lock-on as much as I do wings of prey. I cannot wait for storm of war battle of britain. Thank you for telling me about those games though or I would of never known. I just wished I had TrackIR5 =(. I would be a lot happier I think.

Another question...Why can I not adjust my damn prop pitch but I have an air brake?? I don't understand why they left some of these things out. They also need to implement "manual bombing" so you cannot use the little thing on the ground that tells you where it will drop...it's not historically accurate. I also liked the engine sounds a lot more from the old IL-2 series a lot more. They seemed to have more volume and realism. The spitfire's engine should roar a lot more than it does in Wings of Prey, I know that for sure.
I am glad they made it so you can see out of cockpit in sim mode on single player but they need to be able to make it so you are locked in cockpit again so you won't be tempted to go out of cockpit. Another thing is...they really need to make setting flaps universal for any mode that you play on. I couldn't land because I was playing on realism mode once because I couldn't set my ****ing flaps. Excuse my language but it pisses me off.

Yeah I cant get the flaps to work like most other sims,no matter what setting I try.Flaps only wanna work with gear down.

As for the TrackIR,yes it is smoother and alot easier to setup than Freetrack.I had built a FT setup but then when I got DCS it had a coupon in it for TrackIR 4 Pro for I think it was $89+ship, so I jumped on it.Sims suck without it now,and if you like racing games it works really well in Test Unlimited and Grid.The only game I couldnt get used to TrackIr in was Arma 2..kinda weird for a FPS.

Yeah I know what your saying about WW2,but you also dont need to remember 500 button combos like in modern air combat...thats what I was meaning about WW2 simplicity.

I see what you mean. Dogfighting took more concentration and stamina because it was all bullets,patience and skill. Today it is basically all missile and hardly anyone goes to guns anymore. My freetrack works actually quite well for what it was worth. I would probably have to say it gives out more performance than what I invested into it. I don't like most modern flight sims because the immersion effects are not that great and I don't like how it works. People that make IL-2 should come out with a modern simulation game from their engine and I think it would be worth my time. I don't like how there is no strafing runs very much in the current wings of prey though. They need to implement strafing run capabilities on unsuspecting infantry columns. Free track doesn't work with Arma, I tried it and they want people to buy the real thing which is ****ing stupid in my opinion and bullshit and I wont buy arma JUST for that reason alone. I am glad I pirated that one, the ARMA game isn't that great IMO. I really like the sturmovik games but the older games are too dated and I have a hard time aiming because of the graphic quality isn't good enough. The landing in Wings of Prey seems somewhat more realistic than the older sturmovik. I had hard times with "bouncing plane" syndrome in the old ones but now it works a lot more realistic and better for me.

I just wished Need For Speed Shift worked with TrackIR5 and freetrack. I like that game.
I hate grid and think it doesn't come close to NFS:Shift in realism. I just think that NFS Shift needs a "car totalling " system where you can kill the player and wreck the car beyond operation but it doesn't =(. I still think it is one of the more realistic racing games out there.

Oh im not knocking Freetrack it was good for me.
Yeah Arma wasnt really my thing either,got it the same way.As for the modern sim I play them here and there for a scenic change more than anything.
I liked shift much better.There is a mod out for TrackIR and I believe freetrack to work with Shift,but for some reason it didnt work right for me,I think it was a hardware conflict.

I got a problem, downloaded the Vitality torrent, mounted image. Installed game, downloaded a crach fix but it doesn't seem to work. Everytime I ckick "access" I get "need activation code."

I got the vitality crackfix also.. Could someone point me in the right direction?
