Default the best way to ebay a new gaming build?

Just built a pc for my friend's birthday and he ended up buying one himself at best buy so I want to sell it.
I don't live in a huge populated place so didn't get much response from Craigslist so I decided I want to put it on eBay.it has all brand new parts and. Windows 7 installed, but I knew he already had a graphics card installed so I only put in a cheap like radeon 5450 card making it not really a gaming pc.,

I would like to profit at ljeast a little. But if I break even that is fine too.should I go buy a vid. Card for this to make it more sellable?the other thing is, it has an and Phenom running at 3.7 stock, and has lots of room for overclock, would someone be in the market for an overclocked of on eBay?

Not sure what to do..would like to advertise as "gaming pc" but a radeon 5450 is a joke for that.but also I know a lot of people who like to install their own gaming VGA cards too...

The build is a biostar tseries A870U3+ with a Phenom running stock at 3.7 (whichever that one is) 8gb patriot g2 ram. Hitachi deskstar 750 gb hdd. Samsung DVD burn 520 dynex psu. Coolermaster. N520
Cooler with Arctic 5 the radeon 5450 , data 6gbs and USB 3.0 and the case is rosewill destroyer built with like 5 extra blue led fans...win7 ultimate office enterprise and a bunch of there stuff

Im in the UK, and just sold a Desktop on ebay:

I put it up for 7 days, Buy now 450, the auction went for 190.

It had:
Athlon II 250 3.0Gh Processor
16GB Ram (4 x 4 1333mhz)
2TB HDD
650Watt 80Plus PSU
GA-880GM-USB3 motherboard
nVidia GT520 1GB graphics card (only £30!, but has 3D/HDMI)

I wouldn't hold out much money on ebay!
Desktops in general are pretty hard to move as most people want laptops.
The people that do want desktops, know what they want/where to get, and will get the cheapest parts they can find (not in quality, just cheapest of a particular part)

The margin/markup for individuals is pretty low =/ if you can at all.

Sorry to be a bad news person, but I've struggled abit trying to do this and not got anywhere.

I'd pretty much forget about that.

The parts are now considered used and the warrantys won't transfer.

I doubt you'll break even but that's the way it is with computer parts.

Sorry!

You could upgrade the video card, to make it more sellable, but what rig you built is a mid level system build, truly not a gaming rig. Also if you're selling it with Win7, be sure it's a legit copy, or you could be liable for piracy violations. Not sure what you're asking for it, but you might try marketing it as a "Family PC" instead of a gaming rig. But if you're going to try to bump the performance I like NewEgg for parts they're usually competitive in price and their delivery and customer service is 2nd to none.

I agree with upgrades but eBay isn't the best computer selling medium. Also NewEgg is the best online retailer for parts.

I would advertise it as an deluxe entertainment system. Because it basically runs anything except heavy games. I do think you can sell it at even price, and have a gamer on budget to upgrade graphic card later..

Best thing to do is.... well first tell us where you are from. Land of the garbage plate means sod all.

Secondly, if you do eBay be sure to look at COMPLETED LISTINGS. If you find a good price for similar specs, copy off their keywords. It is ALL about keywords on eBay. Just make sure you realise how much money you get back after eBay fee's and Paypal fee's.

Disassemble it and sell the parts. Only way you'll get it sold without heavy losses. However, you WILL lose money, no matter what you do and how you try to sell it.

If you insist on selling a "complete" system you WILL lose around 50% value or more. That's just the way it is with PC hardware.

I looked up that mainboard model and stopped right there. That's not a *gaming* platform board.

First off, if you can't valuate a pc to post online you don't need to be building pc's for other people. That's a nice pretty shiny mainboard, really colorful.
