I use ClipNabber(.com), it also works for other video sites as well...the list has to be at least 60 different video websites.

No software, just go to the website and paste the link of the video, you can generally choose different formats to save in as well.

Edit: Just noticed a few posts back this thread was necro'd from 2008.

Youtube videos are a waste, anyway it easier just to use orbit because it can download almost anything.

I use xvideo service thief. It is crossplatform and portable and can also convert the flv to other formats or save mp3's as well.
