THIS. I have until August til my 1-year subscription expires, so that's why I've been using it to download files from those rare links that still work. No way will I be renewing.

Nope... Filesonic and Wupload are separate.

Where did you hear/read this?

Who said anything about Wupload? lol

Also, a while back, it was announced that Fileserve had a month to clean up their servers and remove all copyrighted content, if this was achieved, they were allowed to revert their site back to normal, and avoid charges. They were then told that there would be a followup, where they'd investigate the servers again, so I assume they got caught once again. I heard about this in an article a couple of months ago, don't remember where.

I think Fileserve likes it's customers a great deal. I believe that they look at all of the users and they think to themselves,

"Boy, those are some good looking people that are using our services. They deserve a good hard f*cking. We should f*ck our users to show them how much we care"

I did.
Just adding that Wupload and Filesonic were affiliated, but not with FSv/FJ etc.

I'm not 'having a go' about this, just genuinely interested because It's not something I've heard about or can find any trace of.
Personally, I think Fileserve's owner is just trying to balance filling his pockets with filling his panties (with poop) every time he hears about closures or threats.
Why would Fileserve be singled out, and who has the right to dictate terms to them?

Sorry Sir, pretty sure I am correct. There are dozens of articles that say Filesonic, FileJungle, FileServe, and Uploadstation are owned by the same people. Here's one for example,
http://www.flesheatingzipper.com/tech/2012/01/file-sharing-disabled-for-filesonic-fileserve-more/

Who has the right to go into other countries and arrest people under the laws of their country? The US government does. Well, they shouldn't really have the "right", but they do it anyway.

Also, they were not singled out at all, Basically all of the major file hosts were given warnings by the government, telling them to remove copyrighted material or they'd face charges. Many of them were investigated and told that they'd be "checked up on".

There's nothing in that article about Filesonic and Fileserve having a shared owner.
If there are "dozens of articles" (hmmm... rubs chin) then they're wrong.
If you followed the threads at Wjunction for example, where the file-host owners actually post(ed) you'd have gained some insight.

Just for the record...I don't care for Fileserve...and I won't renew any memberships with them even if they were dependable. I don't think it's fair the way they treated their bread and butter (the uploaders). Maybe they had to cut ties, but thy didn't have to be jerks about it. It's you guys that make one site more popular than another.

I had like one more part of a massive file I was downloading last night when that came up, I was pretty pissed off the least they could do is warn people 24hrs in advance or something.

Oops, that one only showed that the other ones were connected. I remember seeing it on a bunch of sites though. Even a thread on here:

I'm actually on Wjunction all the time, especially around the time Megaupload was taken down, and everyone else was in a frenzy. Pretty sure it was posted there too.
