RAID was never meant to be a back-up but was meant to decrease down-time from failing drives for day to day operations.

I don't consider movies/games to be critical info and RAID will be just fine for that situation.

Critical info banking/family pics/valuable stuff needs to be backed-up on a SEPERATE drice/USB and not be connected to a computer unless it's being used at the time.

RAID is NOT a back-up.
