Default PayPal's filehost battle takes its toll

As PayPal is ramping up its crackdown on accounts belonging to filehosts, PayPal's online traffic is severely tanking according to statistics of web traffic analyst website Alexa.com.

They deserve it. Their work ethics is nonexistent and they should be treated as such. Although I like the convince of it.

Inconceivable! I would not have expected that much of a drop over such a narrow topic.

Good. I hope they close down, and I hope that whoever replaces them will have better business practices.

I was a hardcore paypal fan UNTIL they started pulling this shit.

It took alot to put me off them, and they have almost succeeded.

So what kind of reverse logic makes idiots like this, think that reducing the level of service is a good thing for their business?

If their latest policies ruin them, I will celebrate, they deserve it so much.

Well a lot of businesses see their action as a danger to their own.
Paypal made a really dumb move by taking the action they did.
Just cause the MAFIAA says itīs illegal, doesnīt mean squad.
I for one havenīt used Paypal for a single time since then, and have taken alternatives into consideration. Even though i miss paying my pizza with Paypal -.-

It appears that lobbying from this site and others is another major factor. Basically they look for links for paedophilic (that's the uk spelling btw) content and things like animal sex...plus believe it or not , scatological content (!) and highlight this on their site as well as using screen dumps as evidence which they snd to companies etc. What a shame that such clearly abhorrent content gets lumped in with sharing movies and TV series....

Yeah, I started following all this with more interest recently.
It's certainly more significant than I first thought.

The debrid site I use posted the Alexa graph a while back, there were comments about seasonal influences possibly making a difference?
I also noticed that PayPal had restructured and trimmed down their site at around that time -> less pages = less page views!
It's unlikely that file host payments alone are responsible for that change.

I am sure Paypay knew in advance what effect it would have on their revenue. They would have weighed the pros vs cons before making any decision.
