Default Please Recommend a Mid Range Card

I need a decent mid range priced card (about 50-200) that would run at 50 Celcius max at full power during a hot summer to replace my old 4870, any suggestions?

The GTX 560Ti is hard to beat for mid range, especially if you get it on sale, if possible go for the 448 core variant.

A 560ti (especially a 448) is going to run more than $200. Take a look at the latest "best card for the money" at tomshardware. I believe the latest is from June.

and hd 7770 would be your best bet or you could hop back a generation and get a 6850 or 6870 around $180

This one is 200 + shipping but it will not run at 50 on summer :)))
It got free NBA2K11 game with purchase

Something cool and good and cheap (170$)
Free Dirt3 game coupon w/ purchase

First one is significantly better in performance then second one, but second one is cool and it will play anything at decent settings

Why would you ever pay full retail for something? they go on sale for under 200 all the time, the Gigabyte 560ti was on sale for $168 on tiger direct the other week, they go on sale practically every week if you shop around.

A 6870 with dual / triple fans will do you just fine.

Agreed. Couple a weeks ago, they also had it for $120 for a regular 560ti. No need to pay retail. The opportunity will always arise.

I have a Radeon HD 5670 1 gb card and it does me proud, i play all games albeit not on max but on decent settings and i only paid £80 for it, i know there are bigger and better cards out there but for the price it's a great card.
