Really ? What player did you play it on ? Couldn't get it to play on anything on my machine at more than 3 frames/sec... What resolution did you play the clips at ?

Yep you can't go beyond your max resolution, my monitors can go higher than 1080 but my quad-core is not up to the job, it stutters badly...

the dell 30" will probably be best for this (2,560x1,600 ). However no matter how fast your cpu is, the HDD will be the bottleneck

You're wrong, 280Mbit equals 35MB/s.
Should be no problem for any newer HDD (sequential write about 100MB/s).
The "bottleneck" is the decoding process of the video, so you'll have to get
a faster video card and CPU (or tweak the decoding process).

last time that such files were posted, the topic was closed a few hours after because no hardware, even very recent, was capable of playing these files.....

please don't dload them, you'll only be able to watch some slow motion videos........

well, the OP states x264 which would lead me to believe that CoreAVC Pro should be able to handle it. And I do get a display, just in jerk-a-vision and ALL 4 cores of my CPU going beserk. I think it's a hardware muscle - or lack of - problem. Which also leads me to ask how this poster got his "OMFG" response. What player, codecs, CPU, GPU...
