Hi peps just wondering if anyone knows how the current rapids points system works? because over the last 12 hrs i've just been able to download only 6 or 7 seven files, which is veeeeery slow. (The reason I've underlined current is cos I think the current system is different to the one I use to used a loooooong time ago)
What I want to know:
How many points are deducted daily to extend the rapidpro for a day?
What is the daily download limit?
How many points are deducted if you go over the limit?
(like 10 points for 10 gigs or something similar)
Is it better to create a new account or to extend an old one? As in does the extended account require more rapids to initially start of the rapidpro thing?
Another question is can you stop your account from going to rapidpro automatically i.e. save the points for a later date, so say I don't need rapidpro for the next two weeks but need it after two weeks, can I stop rapidpro today and start after two weeks?
Anyway if someone can help me out here with even one of these questions that'll be awesome, so based on them I could decide whether to take an account for a month or not.....

Rapidshare rapids are just like credits. You dont have to watch them at all if you buy a premium. If you pay the $10 for the month premium, that $10 is first converted into rapids, and then with those rapids you buy your month premium. And after that, your going to get a solid month premium. No theres no roll over rapids. Once your month is up, you buy more rapids to extend your premium. Im not sure if it auto renews with paypal, Id have to check my account As for the number of files you can dl at a time, Im pretty sure they might have a cap for how many at one time you can dl, but Im not sure. I always have 4 going at once anyways because thats really the fastest method Last edited by ndemars18; 02-19-12 at 08:07 AM. |

I thought about purchasing a premium account (or Rapidpro) but its pretty expensive for customers in the US ($13/mo). Especially considering most filesharing sites are only $9 or $10 per month. They don't have a 5gig download limit per day anymore do they? |

To be honest, Rapidshare has only become useless for free users. And it's not only Rapidshare, the age of high benefits for free filehost users is over.

I've had no problems with rapidshare, got 3month, no download limit or anything, links im finding are always alive. Getting 1.3mBps download speed on a 10mbps connection. As long as they don't pull the crap they did with the rapids in the past i think there great.
