I don't really need to back up my computer. 95% of all the programs I need in Linux are available for download in Synaptic whenever I want and I only need to save my files. And I have a 500 GB external HD for that. I have a MyBook, but I'm thinking of getting a new one from Seagate. They're the best.

i only back up 2 out of 6 of my servers (the file server and the active directory server) I use DAT DDS tapes they can hold like up to 80GB i think | ||

private data -> dvd rw, avi movies -> 3.5" hdd, softwares -> 2.5" hdd

though i voted hard disk, i think i'm gonna change to solid state to back up my stuff from now on cos my hard disk just died... | ||
