I guess the only way to work around this is to use a foreign proxy server. Though generally the download speeds will be fairly bad unless you get lucky or pay.

I've been wondering the same thing. After megaupload, filesonic and fileserve all went down i got a uploaded.to account and i can't seem to get idm to recognize the links. I've tried both ul.to as the site and uploaded.to but nothing. Maybe it doesnt support it but i would also be very grateful to anyone who knows how

ul.to is blocked in the US. You could use a proxy outside the country but your speeds are likely to suffer.

I've been wondering about that too. So I sent them an email and here's their reply:

"Dear Customer,

Please notice [sic] that we don't give support for third party download managers and simply recommend to use our service with a modern browser such as Firefox.

If you still want to use a download manager, we recommend to use Jdownloader, as it seems that a lot of our customers use this software :
http://jdownloader.org
If you're encountering issues to download with a download manager, please setup the maximum connection limit for a download to the amount "1". (disable segmentation / chunk load)."

I used IDM with Megupload, Filesonic and Hotfile and it worked very well.
It's a pity Uploaded doesn't support IDM.

So just to clarify if you have a premium account, you can use jdownloader? I'm looking to buy a premium account with them.
